The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Lothlorian

Majestic lies the sylvan verdure
where ancience lies undisturbed
and arcane melodies liltingly linger
on limely luminescent mushroom chorals
the moon miming a drama so tired it fades
behind the stage of tidal agonists
once more waxing to the hector
of the hellenic dragging the winged
dragonfly under the unattended lilypad
and leaving the cress to flush with peridot
caught in the silver rain of sallow beams
mourning eternity's ground facets lending
our internal brilliance for love's warmly
diffusing homecoming laid upon our temple
so distinguished with bonsai-burly scars
and the blush of the beloved transfixed
in sacred worship, the contemplative aperture
unfocused upon a deeper clarity as crystalline
as an icy lake of shimmering ultramarine
reflecting the golden constellations of ratios
written round the endless swirl of aureum
that draws the bow til the strain is essence
and the eye lunges into the elklord's cords
trading the sanguine embrace for the cataplexy
of a cry that rends mountains rising before
the dawn of every gaze witnessing the tail
of the mouth that dares to devour such a
virgin apple so newly swaddled in rosy blush
yet wizened to a plum-camphor nectar tipped
lipward inviting the serpentine scales to fall
away to reveal the evertide's inevitable triumph.
