The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Miracle of the Unicorn

Her flowing beauty
Silky white

Blinded my eyes as
She took off in flight

She landed on a dark
Cloud the sun had
forgotten to

Brighten and make
Into soft fluffy cotton

She touched it with
Her magical horn

Bestowing the magic of
This last unicorn

And glimmering as
Of new fallen snow

It melted into a
Cheerful rainbow

As it wrapped itself
Around the Earth

All could see its
Real worth

Because it touched
And opened their hearts

And gave everyone
Brand new starts

So peace came to be
And loving too

It touched their minds
And got the idea through

That all should love each other
And share their wealth

So everyone could prosper
In good health

Because what is important
To everyone

In not wealth, money,
or even fun

Instead it's love that
Keeps all snappy

So what we should do
Is make others happy

Think always about the
Golden rule

For it will be your most
Useful tool

Just remember love
Your neighbor as you
Love yourself

For that will bring you
The greatest wealth.
