The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Aflush

Softly babbles clear streams
washing the dust off dull blades
across river rock cabochons
glittering with algaed mica
and the silvered lines of
little mouths minnowing about
beneath the brownian dance
of the newly fledged and the
leaf fall of molting giants.

An acorn spirals in wobbles
wedged between the crotch
of a whimsied cairn
and the rushabrush of
twitching rivulets
'til a twig debarks the lot
into the jubilance of flow
and the recline into refreshment
of the unbalking of acceptance.
