Horizons

I crossed a frozen expanse
to find my heart's longings
I wrapped my arms around him
whom I found to fill my heart.

And after so long a journey
having wearied of wandering
I found a moment's sleep
In the comfort of an embrace.

I feel a tender peace
in thoughts of he who cares
about my humble life
so far from Grandeur and Glory.

Standing before a future unknown
in the blaze of a love just born
I wonder whether pain or joy
will embrace my hope's desire.

But in the joy of new beginnings
so much can lie ahead,
Beyond restless imaginings
In the horizons of my dreams.
