The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Cubists

If we invert Picasso's brush
do his lines not form a cube?
a seismogram of dreams unfolded
though with forms less traversed
into the same night we plunge
and sputter our decoupage upon
our audience for whom we live
to perform, to enthrall, to hypnotize
and lead behind the curtains
of our emerald city into
the balloon awaiting our
departure into the absurd
and unimagined circus of
jingling smiles and
dangling inhibitions.
