The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Tree Bending

Sumi-laden roots bristle with seedlings
Forest dancing life between the grasses
Ruddy must swole with the rabidity of rain
Atmospheres bloom from lost branches
Fawning in sphagnum drag to make
Sunbeams laugh and blush from the ripeness
Of ribald rhymes, quips of long forgotten
Hyperboles whispered between the bees
And waftings of pollen on the wind
So that even the curmudgeonry
Of whomping willows may furrow
their seeds anew.
