The Nucleation of Permanence

How energetic must a nexus glow to 
attract a blacksmithy hummingbird
to forge in supernova blindness
a new tableau where death starglimmers
an everpresent touchstone to guide
soul jewelers to their heart's desire?

Where with the swing of a baton
branches solidify into pipe organ tourmaline
while our kudzu turns to hoarfrost veins
with alabaster fingertips ungrasping the thorns
that bloodlet our determination into 
the quicksilver casting of unfevered dreams.
