The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Monet Puddles

Pastel hued dabs of cerulean rose
soft mind raining in dappled puddles
of primaries muddled and stretched
across the drumbeat of washed canvas
the eyes catch moonbeams for daylight
dilating to the universe slowly turning
and the fall of sandy daydreams between
the toes titillating the untickled in
turn with impish wordplay and gilded
lily perfume to cloy the reluctant
romantic with a deeper damask as
haystacks fall into autumn colors
and cathedrals melt into hyacinths
a secret garden bridge leads into the idyllic
where any may tarry for a chance meeting
with a phantom of nascent love
