The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Vividly Unvisceral

Smear the palette of primaries
palm painted on blank walls
dotted in abandoned fingerprints
a smile stroked into an arch
the keystone has crumbled into
violet crumbs as vivid as
they are tangential to the
pulsations of desparation
cascading through my sinewy
omentum of inertia that spins
against the bloodletting of
circumstantial swallows
strange incense rising to
a lull as titans cease their dance
and lean in to sigh before they
return to their sway and lay
silence where offered cries
made libations claim.
