The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
A Mellifluous Escape Velocity

I feel the weight of reality
attending to the dark matter agendaed
gorged in the corpulence of figured speech
decaying into orbits uncomprehended
adrift in oceanic reverie
I await Charon's priceless key.

To free my libido's lusting for the fall
into the recursions of the ugly shine
trading beans for hidden pulchritudes
gathering pink truffles on which to dine
studying the parabola of stanzas
descending rainbow bridges to the inky brine.

But the purple-gilled inhale the mercurial stew
lending lithe contortions to swing the canopy
and burst the shadow of oceans blue
to alight in volcanic blaze the firmaments
of conceptions creatively startlingly new
to exospheric aspirations and the stillness
of actual escapements chiming ever on cue
