If I Had A Dream.... (7th grade-1st prize poetry contest)

I have a dream to be someone great
To do some good not destroy or hate
Whatever I do it will benefit mankind
Maybe a cure or something I sign
I want to make a mark on the Earth
I want to make it better for all it's worth
I want to be famous in a respectable way.
I want to better this Earth into a paradise someday.
I'll make peace on our planet or discover a cure
I'll do something great that I'm sure
I'll turn this world into a wonderful place
Where we can conquer the waters and live out in space
Where everyone cares and helps each other live
Where people help out and aren't reluctact to give
And when, if ever, comes the glorious moment in time
When all is good no scandals or crime
I think in my dream I can honestly say
That we've created Utopia in that time, on that day.
