The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Newfound Anne

Oh starry Night, that has brought me to
her poetic shores, shipwrecked in awe
and adoration of a heart so wreathed
with warm breathe and passionate transcendence.

I forget my daytime work, asleep
in the dreamy words held together
by a voice I once knew - her inquiring,
hugging-now-embracing soul.

Like a siren's echo from storm-tossed days,
sweet deja-vu to know a friend once parted
is now an oasis re-met, re-crashed upon
like morning's pink-tinged waves.

An exchange of thoughts, of words,
fragile skeletons now enfleshed in
the exchange of Creation's power within
I rejoice to know again so dear a friend.
