The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Inflammable

I domicile amongst the tinderkegs
Panting with all the humidity I may muster
for every word is a wick a moment
before the combustion of a cortisol convulsion
though I stand unharmed so long as all my
ernestness arrests its sincerety in
the face of the sublime
smiling upon my craftiness
satisfied with the effort if not the
particular refraction of my
ketracel-white privilege
fragility sublimated into a flint-chinned pose;
Quench the innocence of my indolence
my languishing upon your breast
my relishing your attentions undeserved
with the whimsical coyness of my words
hiding my quivering mentations
unleashing them into my salad flow of
non-sequiturs and torrid entendre
lusting to be kenned and
know who would pour out their hours upon
this maneuvering of mystic lips
for I am bent beyond my farthest
into the equilibrium of
a candle that smolders long.
