The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Corner Sticks

In the sit-with-you-collaboration corner
In a vertex of the timeless spaceless deluge
I rub reptile-boned-ancestry against chant-scorched-omens
and try
to find a fire to share among the ineffable-labyrinthian-chill
to make embers of epistemological crumbs and ontological screams
with the borrowed knap of an obsidian looking glass
the phoenix sighs
with wizened curls of evanescent creep
we ride the eddies with our fingertips
garner humbly winking gazes of the chandelier
and with warrior cry
release from our navel-bonded-geminity
the ink-washed bondage of lost names
so we may hang prayer flags at Everest edge
