The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Zeotropic

Behold the mesmer of the erupting
phosphors lasing from the flash
of enraptured moments of beauty
in a trifle of the uncondensing
mixture of nebulae and starstuff
amongst the clatter of the
celluloid grief of unframed lives
ending quietly without
the ceremony of quasars or kings
rooked from the river's flow
before consciousness could spare
a spasm of ectoplasm against the
night swale of our waxy composition
draining uncontained from our wick
and consuming the last grain of
sacred carbon into the zephyrs
of our untethered brethren souls
about to be enseeded into the tedium
to fuel the next flash and leave
fire flare marks to sepia stain
time's pyrographic humor.
