The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Joy

Oh, how frozen were the tears of my heart,
a thousand flakes covering my will to live,
Oh, how the world lies under a blanket of sin
Oh, how my heart has suffering from it.

But, now before the sun of creation,
all melts into a deluge of excited life,
flowing, running, gurgling with joy
washing over still solid souls, to melt
into a deluge the whole of creation.

Run with me, leap with me,
over the hills, into His heart,
we are meant for Him,
how can we endure apart.

Laugh! cry! but live and breathe
forth Jesus to all, strike
the drum, raise your voice,
let the rolling thunder touch
us, then we shall cry out.

Assemble the nations, let all the
earth gather before the mountain
No one may remain alone,
gather them all.

Cry forth praise from your mouth,
from your heart sing forth
adore Him and Him alone,
never cease, never tire,
for He is our strength!

As the ocean may our praise be,
may it salt the earth
and give it savor.

As far as the heavens may our arms reach,
seeking to know You,
oh Lord, our God.

Let the dry lands of our hearts,
be quenched and made
a spring of life.

In the swirling chaos of our understanding
in the echoings of Your Love,
Oh God, may we see all creation's witness
and turn forever to You.
