The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Unrogated

Nothing
is all I ask of my expiration
the gentle consummation of all my hopes and dreams
for my eyes are uneclipsed by Charon's coins
all my debts paid and buried
only lingers the memory of my beloved's kiss
and the klingon death ritual for my
cat's eye fading from phenoB and
how I howled at the stolen sun
for such amputations fail to bleed long enough
while the mind hides behind its nictitating
and tries to reassemble chewed Lincoln logs
that long ago splintered-
No, I agree
too many words have been spilled
to say nothing to the ultimate.
