The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Earthenware

hands encompass hands
as the wheel of time bends clay
into golemspark and play
as edges erode into rigidity
the dry gasp of youth dripped away
crumbling cedars in thunder fall
inculcate cradled forehead fire
melon-laden galleons in tempest sway
sticky the turpentine veil melting
smelting science into the axiomatic
worn out mantle of tired mancers
heavily robed dancers of the mystic fray
enthrall our collective graspings
of linguistic eddies as modernity readies
emoticon amphorae to entomb our prayers
thought of natural disorder dread
and upon wisdom's brow to anoint the new day
