Christmas Carol

Ebenezer scrooge was a sorry soul indeed,
For he wouldn't help those who were desperately in need.
He was a miser with money and was very mean,
Sometimes he gets so mad i think he'll turn green.
Whenever he hears about christmas or love,
He says bah humbug! And moves on with a shove.
Don't try to explain love or christmas to him,
Because for ebenezer scrooge everything is grim.
At the sound of christmas he grumbles and groans,
Until one night when scrooge heard some moans.
Jacob marley, scrooge's partner and only friend-
It was seven years ago when he came to a dreadful end.
His spirit had come back to warn scrooge of his fate-
It was because he was a miser and he showed only hate.
Well three spirits came to render his heart
Into a joyful and loving soul with a new start.
The first ghost was of christmas past and all its joy
Which scrooge never liked since he was a little boy.
Scrooge could not enjoy or ever recall
All the fun he used to have, like at fezziwig's ball.
After him came the ghost of christmas present,

Who came with wreaths and foods like exotic pheasant.
He taught scrooge how he affected his clerk,
How he underpaid him and and made him come everyday to work.
With poor tiny tim and the rest of the cratchits, too,
The children had to work to get enough money for stew.
Last came the ghost of christmas to come-
He came in darkness and in blackness and glum,
And showed scrooge his eerie fate.
Scrooge was scared he would die and it was too late,
But he changed and persisted to inprove which was great,
And this classic story shows how even the worst can change.
Like ebenezer scrooge who had altered from strange-
To a loving and caring and generous man,
Who gave money freely to the needy at hand.
I like this story because it shows true christmas spirit and love,
How scrooge turned from a lion to a dove.
