The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Basket Woven

Subdura doom sahara noon
shines the solar boon
verdant vale elven snail

oak and honey cocoon
aurous puddle spoon
certain nail dwarven hale

hammer and sickle ruin
wines the jubilee moon
curtain fail mortal vail

triple crown keyed buffoon
true and humbly immune
verily pale dragons tale

sword and breastplate strewn
gnashing and wailing croon
time did death impale

heart and helmet wound
resting the burden soon
and to the Eastern sunset sail

here lies the unexcavated dune
of a forgotten pariahed loon
who never escaped the whale.
