Anticipation

What is living but waiting 
for the unexpected outcome
the astonishment of our ignorance
the wonder at the unimagined
the horror of awakening to the deeper 
darker depths where squid battle leviathans
and we franticly luminescence before
being swallowed and flushed with 
the churn of gastric juices, our
little bit of bitterness decoupaged
onto a future sandcombers find of 
ambergris.
