The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Queerness of Nature

Softly dawns the idyll weisen
the resplendence of infinite color
hallowed balance hanging gravid
hanging low, ripened to bursting.

From the immensity of Beauty
tears a quasaric burst
the utterance of all
swallowed light, an issuance
of profundity in a
succession of solitary form.
The never til now,
spawn of a lemming holocaust
and the dynastic elegance of
the overgrown and wizened.

Wellspring of unanswerable questions
visage of the unseeable
I grapple at your nostrilled lips
distend my unknowing
unhinge my comprehension
yet I can not hold you inside me
despite my desperate embrace
my need feels legion
but I am a white dwarf husk
devoid and devouring surfaces
puddling muons as I retrace
the trajectory of creation
swallowed into your fifth attraction
sublime fracture of
the ardency of exploration,
mass ejection of possibility,
"mirrored self in familiar eyes."
