The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Hexaflexagonal

Paper permutations of
turtle-shell tessellations
the collective cynegetics
of the eternal curiosity
mother muse's peekaboo kiss
two eyes too few to see
the edge fade away beneath
our sunset tidal paving
between the hum of hive spires
and the subsonic cavitations
of beryllium congealing
amidst our rutile fabrications
of the brittleness of myth
and meaning while rainbow
shimmers petroleum glimmers
from the graves of titanflow
looming unwarped weft in
nucleic yarns knotted into
euhedral habits by millenia
long fingers that rejoice
to pluck at the precarious
balance of mobiles in the wind
and chime one last moment into
a delicate rain of falling
shards of sullied ornamentation
so rare the perfect consummation
great conjubilation of conjunctions
and we the chorus sing a caesura
and turn to eschew the open stage
