The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Winterfall

Time's heavy-lidded visage sallows
His winds fall away to a humid humus
A soil of memories, dead from afar
Vivacious in its intimate intensity
Inchoate granules gilden with garnerings
Skeletal silt, aching with dried sinews
Waiting, moaning, haunting songs sung
Hastening the release of so many commingled bonds
Decays inner-dimensional kiss, Oh cruel osculation!

The universal turning grinds sorrow into
fertile mercy, a fervent fertilizer
Piquant covalence, undeniable ionicity
She, soft solar slumbering silent night
She will not stir while clenching resounds
all must be repudiated
for sweet virginity to be reborn.
Pheremones and flowers forming
And my ruddy musk left unspent while tears still fall.
