The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Ring

The weltering swells scream against
the wetness of unrelenting night
caught in the searchlights of
a polaroid commercial runway
speaking its aphoristic gibberish,
a barbarian lullaby of freshly
fleshly frescoed pantone hues
dancing across imagined clouds
while napkin equations in
surreptitious pockets rest unuttered
the buyer's remorse crescendoing
as the chimera scurry away

Ting

Scrambling feet tread the logjam
dissipating while the unfortunate
are crushed by eye mote spinning and
electron bridges falling down
while dopamine takes its encore bow
and glaciers compartmentalize
passions into moss agate dendrites
making bells of bone beads so the
scribes may make ink of cantor's
dust lingering in the coroner's corners
to wake up the new morning's mourners
and uncoil the pristine scars to stay
