The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Briskness of Salt Air

Bracing as the foam-laden breeze
Flint-locked jowls cut like the bow
of an ice breaker entangled among
a newly forged pangaea tied down
in lilliputian tethers of mindlessly
mingling crystals that restore
a turbid balance to the incoherent
whispers lost to the gale now frail
and frenetic orders fired to the flank
abandon! our trajectory like scattering
lemmings or scampering neurons that
light the void between the thunder
of squalls and the dissipation of
attractions that cross our wake
