The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker 
The Lord

There was once long ago a great loving man
Who lived on the Earth and walked through the sand

And wherever He went joy went too
For He was watched from above in the clear crisp blue

He was friends with all and foe with none
He was friends with the moon stars and sun

He went on His journeys through many lands
Touching the forests prairies and sands

He perked up the flowers and strengthened the trees
Then He thanked His father and was blessed with peace

Well all was in harmony till one day came
And the Earth and that man weren't the same

The Earth turned against Him and Chaos began
The forests prairies and even the sands

They wanted Him no more and struck Him down
He was rebuked and forgotten and dashed to the ground

He rose to His father and found His place
He never forgot Earth but always showed grace

Well the Lord is that man and I'm happy to say
Earth still remembers Him each and every day!
