The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Specimen Collected

I chose these words to resonate
for a little while around the musical spheres
twisted by turning towards the unity
overgrown with grizzled beard and the musky
sentence structure of liver-spotted colons
and run-on equivocations that splinter
from the act of listening carefully and
stopping one's cinematic thoughts to scoop up
disparately raisined morsels peppered through
the oddly shaped meteorite on its plinth
expanding loaflike towards the edges
like a lung inhaled before the breath
spreads warmth across the inky abyss.
