The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Nictitating

Twin lunar osculations
adorn my carrara temples
sprout gothic goyles as
rain rivers flow over
plinthic corbels
into acanthic dreams.

Gypsum snowflakes nucleate
from each drip and splash
scintillating drop
tower chatterings sputter
as they boil against
sun-baked smoothness.

Gaudy Grecian urns know no
more than the flush
agelessness has to tell,
for appearances of the trapped
are but a diaphanous web
to push beyond and believe.
