The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
World

Geyser erupts, spews, sings
from a verdant diamond's setting
Spectral flecks in the eyes
dance in the wind's wonder.

Fauna of the flourishing
gather and look up
lion, lamb and man
in nude innocence before heaven.

With eyes closed and lips open,
myriad words speak as souls alight
the wind, freed as a million wings
taking flight to join
the joyful tear-spray.

Angelic tempest of will
wells from the frozen tundra
now green
up into the blue expanse.

Scintillating in
un frag ment ed
mom.en..tar...y
peace.

Light reflects from each to every
and no sparkle lost or forgotten,
no mantral tone is unheard in
this geyser song of creation.

And as time floods back in,
the droplets fall; they fall,
they stream, they rain back
to the earth plain.

Caught by a million leafs
overwhelming by the gift;
they gather into a warm ocean
mixing their sweet diversity.

They subside beneath the Deep
in silent serenity sated,
gathered as one and ready
to sing forth again.
