The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Inertiate

An unreferenced fish must swim
through barriers unfully appreciated
bearable to moronic monks who chant
dissonance into daring subharmonies,
cataracts unfaithed and unfurled,
whispering beliefs between the wood
and nailed promises whose gaze once met
etches an unbearably fingered scar
that we suckle at conviction's hearth
to melt our shivering vascillations
into the flowing fluidity of dance
unreferenced to any mentation
deconstructed by the curious child
who unpacks galaxies with a smile
and tenders oblivion to a rainy day
so the passion flame may flicker aflutter
in a conflagration of confluences
that light the silent stillness
with a friendly shining song.
