The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Wrestle

I wrestled, oh God
with the wind and
you surrounded my heart;
I could not escape.

I ran and you were faster
on all sides came your
Spirit

I fought and raged
but your truth spoke
and I fell silent

I Love You

The Words echoing
could not be denied;
and with bitterness
I asked why?

I cried and screamed
demanded a reply
but silence covered me.

You are
and I am,
You said.
