The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Light that Escapes the Stone

Brilliant soul licks the luster to a glisten
listen to the luminosity of nucleics held
gelded color uncenters the spilling white
blights the darkened with the cavort of rays

Expression tipped upon its orbital spinning
grinning with release, a libation of play
sprayed with flawed interferent ripples
triples the blue glow of a warmed moodstone

Portrayed with happy sad countenances
provenances of blushing organics swole
unwhole yet dancing with symmetries
memories spackling the skeptically vigilant

Golem grows from roots of wet clay wonder
thunder of the birdbrain tossed into ascent
bent on climbing the ethereal apparitions
and storm the clouds of quicksilver dreaming

Lightning bursts from the onyx walls
stalls in the eye closing to receive
perceives the symbologic splines
refines the dapple of late-morning prayers

Sight escapes the stonework of prisons
wizens adoration's nectar to myrrh
dials the aperture to a full stop and
gathers the fallen garlands to a new verdure.
