The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Silken

Diaphanous the sighs
that split sunlight
into the ephemera of
springtime joys.

Wandering amongst
pastel daydreams
wafting in succulent breezes
shimmering in waterfall pools.

Soft fluff is shed
in dandelion threads
peach fuzz raining down
in a colloidal eddy
scintillating like silver knives
against vanta black.

Sprung are the seeds
flung afar and freed
Uncoiled, unfurled
Unspoiled, to breed
young need, well oiled
in heat and heave,
milk curds dribble from
lips honeyed by mead,
solitary tendril
lowers me down into
the cool cave of me.
