The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
A Dream A Day

Dare I dream a day
or two, to go
away, to tussle and
play with the muse?

Shall I share the song
or lines, where we
belong, to clamor and
throng with the rhyme?

Let us bang out the verse
or tune, to share and
immerse the breath in
terse and pithy play.

And in the morning bright
and day, once all is said
aright, from heart and soulful
flight, we let the burden lay.
