The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Light Collectors

We celebrate the accretion of knowledge
All that falls into our orbit
The light trapped in eyes raised
Though glints escape our quasaric heart
Beating in flares that consume sacred ghosts
And ripple the induction of our chosen spin
I tap out a message in faint phonemes
Hoping the urgency of the ultraviolet
Can escape the horizon of the void within.
