The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
The Crater of Your Meteoric

though aching and acindered
the vulcanity of my world shall not slumber
an apotheosis rising like a pillar in the desert
approaching the tomb of the asymptotic
never to rest from wandering before Ra
ever illuminated by your etchings
silkscreened on my tapestral heart
nerves fall silent to the inconsequential
shouts of day mourners so I slide
behind the drapes to Narnia and
toast libations upon the cheeks of nymphs
for a brother fallen to the curtain call
off the edge we each trace alone
