The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
Invitation to Exfoliate

Only shining bodies have weight
so lay back and float
relax your lasers into auroras
and slide out of the
Chinese finger trap of the temporal
to where life has no value
and certainty can't even be sure
we are still procreating
let your body warm the ice islands
that bob around the tub bubbles
here we hum the shamelessly ineffable
and leave the knowing to the
star-crossed lovers who never tire
of shooting their hearts at arrows
enjoy the spasms of a chinchilla bath
so that Indra's nits reflect naught
but the night jewels of dark matters
whose toes dangle in other dimensions
only faintly bothered by the baryonic
here we lumber amidst the waves
and groin with the ecstasy
of growing a new skin.
