The Poetry of Mark Daniel Milbocker
In Place

Held fallen flower fingers unarmed
maximum mental magnetic constriction
dysonsphere dreams encase the supernova
brilliance unbroken between two pavilions
the maser tickle aimed tangentially
goldvoicing chorus costumes the melody

Convene the council elders within
hear testimony of a lesser genealogy
learn the morality of the unexpected
pinhead plasma winking from the rays
too many overflowing libations streaming upon
the silver silence of an eyesocket audience

Blow upon the graphite eraser dancing
perturbations of a last ocean breath
lest all the waters erupt into steaming
from a flaw in the simulacrum iterating
firefly fading into a late August bayou
a bronze of moss under the sturgeon moon

Never mind the scatter of toothpicks
thorns gathered to fingers full of laurel
acanthus engraved upon the fresh stucco
undisturbed while the vapors dissipate
soft impression released from its castings
titanium white marble lost to its own luster
